The results of the election are as follows.
2021 board members:

The outcome of this vote has resulted in no board member willing to accept the President position.

Most board members elect to volunteer thinking of serving on specific positions on the board and in this case I believe no one, not just elected board members, fully anticipated the impact of the vacancy that’s occurred.

In addition, an elected board member has indicated that they will resign their position, for personal reasons, at the April Board Meeting .

Per Section 4.04 of the Sunrise Bay Association by-laws, and in full transparency the board is announcing the vacancy and will accept applications and resumes to fill the vacancy, President, on the board.

     4.04 Vacancies of the Board of Directors may be filled by a majority of the remaining       Directors, or by the sole remaining Director.

As a fully operational board is in the best interest of the community, we ask that all applications for the vacancy be received no later than March 12th, at 5pm. Interested persons should submit their name to vp.sunrisebaypoa@gmail.com and secretary.sunrisebaypoa@gmail.com.

The board will then schedule the interviews with each applicant and select the best qualified person.

The selection will be deliberated during the executive session at the scheduled April 13th board meeting, and the individual selected will be announced at that meeting.

03/31/2021 Update

After the outcome of the annual meeting; and based on the resulting fact that no board member was inclined to take the position of president, the board notified the entire membership and requested volunteers to submit applications for the open position. 

Four applications were initially received by the board to fill the role of president; one of which ultimately withdrew. The remaining three candidates were scheduled for interviews; subsequently, the candidates were interviewed by the elected board members between 03/22/21 and 03/29/21 via web conferencing. 

Board member discussions and deliberations of the interviewed candidates will be held during the executive session of the upcoming monthly board meeting. After the board has deliberated, the board will exit executive session and vote on the new board member during the open section of the meeting.

No discussions about the candidates will occur during the meetings open forum; other than the direct discussions amongst the board members during the scheduled executive web session.

Boats and Trailers

The Boats and Trailers exemption from 2011 and the Expansion from 2019 remains in place with one clarification: Covered Trailers, non-commercial in nature, are also permitted.

To Summarize the Current Boat/Trailer policy for SRB

Any boat or trailer, must be:

  1. Parked behind the front plane of the house, “Side Yard” or “Back Yard” per declarations
  2. Parked on Cement, Not on Grass
  3. Have Current License Tags / Inspection
  4. In good repair (aka not an eye sore) and ready for immediate road use
  5. No Torn Covers
  6. Not be used to store “trash, construction materials, etc.”
  7. Covered Trailers are permitted, however, Commercial Covered / Work Trailers are prohibited
  8. Only 1 (trailer or boat) per lot

RV’s remain RESTRICTED subject to full concealment per the declarations.

However, an RV may be present on an improved surface / driveway, for the purposes of pre-trip departure or post-trip return readiness activities for a period of less than 24 hours.
